Από τους πιο θλιβερούς στίχους, αναφέρεται στη ζωή των μαύρων στα χωράφια του αμερικάνικου νότου, αλλά δε παύει να μιλάει και για τη ζωή του κάθε κολασμένου εργάτη-σκλάβου ακόμα και σήμερα στα όχι τόσο μακρινά χωράφια ή θερμοκήπια, της Μανωλάδας λόγου χάρη. Παράξενο φρούτο η ευημερία ε;
